You’ll enter Anemone House by way of the flower brimmed courtyard that’s shaded by towering grapevines. A short stone staircase that’s so typical of the architecture of this region leads to the beamed front door located on the second floor. You’ll feel immediately at home in the living room, with its walls painted light blue like the sea, and furnished in comfortable dark wood antiques accented by hand woven multicolored cushions.
But what will take your breath away is the view opening before you through the balcony doors: the Bay of Poros below and in the distance the “Sleeping Lady”, a mountain formation that is said to have inspired the 19th century sculptor Chalepas to create his masterpiece with the same name on view in Athens.
The spacious living room covers the entire second floor, where you’ll enjoy the comfortable sitting and dining areas as well as a small but fully equipped kitchenette. A half bath completes the comfort of this floor.
On the ground floor below, accessible through a spiral staircase, you’ll find the master bedroom with its romantic chandelier, fireplace, and - through white lace curtains - view of your private pool shaded by the ancient olive tree in the property’s garden.
The spacious en suite bathroom offers a Jacuzzi bathtub.
As resident of Anemone House you’ll have the exclusive use of the property’s swimming pool and outdoors sitting and dining area. The pool, though small at 6 x 3 meters, provides ample opportunity for exercise against a smooth adjustable current.
The Anemone house hosts up to four persons, through an oversize queen size (160 cm x 200) bed in the master bedroom and a junior size (125 cm x 200) sofa bed in the living room.
