With its courtyard shaded by grapevines, olive and lemon trees, air scented by oregano, mint, thyme and basil plants, and sheltered by whitened stone walls, the lovingly restored Anemone-Residence has retained the architectural characteristics of its island farmhouse roots.
The property consists of two separate houses connected by a courtyard, Anemone Main House and Pyrgaki, the”Little Tower”, with its own entrance from the quiet village street above the property.
The private pool - shaded during the hot summer hours by an ancient olive tree – adds the final touch to a property tailor made for its guests wellness and relaxation.
Anemone-Residence is located in the midst of Poros town, halfway up the little hill, just above St.Constantine’s Church. The upper town’s centre is within a two minutes’ walk. Its picturesque square framed by the baker, butcher and handy grocery store – marked by the unlikely sign “supermarket” - and surrounded by cozy little taverns (restaurants) and overlooked by St. George metropolitan-church is the traditional meeting place of the locals.
Of course Poros’ busy seaside centre is also only a short walk of 5-7 minutes away via several of the many narrow village roads that wind their way through Poros town. Or, guests of Anemone Residence can rent a scooter to explore the island and travel from the secluded residence to the bustling centre of activity along the harbor without exertion.
